Summer Reading!

So excited for summer, and so excited for all of the books I’ll be reading!!! I’m a huge bookworm! I read a lot during the school year, but summer is my time to read even more!

Thanks for having this great linky Lucky to be in First!!!

Here’s what I’ll be reading this summer:

These are just a few of the books I plan on reading! I have a goal to read 65 books this year and I’m behind right now…this is my time to get ahead!!

The Heir by Kiera Cass

The Art of Lainey by Paula Stokes

The Start of Me and You by Emery Lord

I Remember You by Cathleen Davitt Bell

Never Never by Colleen Hoover, Tarryn Fisher

Burning Kingdoms by Lauren DeStefano

Here’s some of my favorites that you should read!

Alice in Zombieland by Gena Showalter

The Selection by Kiera Cass

The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han

Altered by Jennifer Rush

Pivot Point by Kasie West

Cinders & Sapphires by Leila Rasheed

Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover

Are you on Goodreads? If you aren’t, you should be!! I keep track of all the books I’ve read, want to read, and own. (Like I said, I’m a bookworm!!!)

My sister HIGHLY recommended The Selection series to me and I have downloaded a sample. I am hoping to read that too this summer. I hope I will be able to! The Summer I Turned Pretty was SO amazing! I don't think I ever read a book about two siblings liking the same girl. I love who she ended up with and was rooting for them from the get go! So glad it ended the way it did! You seem to like the same genre of books as me so I will DEF be adding the books you recommended on your want to read list to mine too! I love a good YA novel =)

Yay Molly!!! I'm so happy you'll find some new books. I'll warn you though, they are in the Young Adult section…because we're all young adults, right?!

Just remembered a good book you might like: Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. Uses vintage odd photos to tell an unusual story. There's 2 books in the series so far, but I would expect a third one to be coming. It's a really good book!

I let my daughter pick out a few wood crafts from Target a couple weeks ago and she's been working on this treasure chest.

She finally decided it's finished and now it's in her room with all sorts of random treasures inside!

I always brought in the food items for my students to build all of the plant parts and then taste each part. Then they would match up and label the parts of a plant and draw/write the food for each part.

Have you tried doing this with your students??

Hanukkah presents from last week for my girl's pre Hanukkah presents from last week for my girl's preschool teachers!! Really loving how my tags turned out! 🤩

Giving teachers presents as a teacher mom was such a new and interesting experience. I really wanted it to be perfect and for them to love it all - but I know it's truly the thought that counts and they'd appreciate that.

She ran into school swinging the gift bags so who knows what it all looked like once they opened it anyways 😅

My students and parents seriously loved these! It holds the students accountable for reading, but in a fun way!

I built in different incentives for them to fill them out each month's log and it always worked. Quite possibly my favorite resource!
