I’m also working on a new pack of tags by request. (Yes, I take requests!! Just leave it in a comment here or in the Q&A in my store. I love hearing your ideas!) The new pack will have those milestones that kids should just know – how to write their first and last name, phone number, address, birthday, left from right, etc.

Don’t forget to check out the other tips on behavior management in this week’s linky!

I had to do a clip chart when I started at my school and I've really disliked it! This year I've already gotten everything ready to go to do the Popsicle sticks! I'm really looking forward to it.
Yay Erin!! We're going to show everyone the "stick" way!!! π
Hey Elyse!
Thanks for linking up with Stephanie & myself for our B2S Weekly Linky! We're so happy to have you!!
I love the fact that you don't use a behavior chart/clip chart. I used it this year because that's what the school used, but I don't think I'll ever use it again – it was my first year ever teaching and I didn't see that it had much positivity in the classroom! Instead, I love the idea of positive reinforcement through brag tags. What an AWESOME idea. How often do you give out tags?? Do you find that the kiddos constantly beg for them, or do they kind of just accept them when they're given??
Thank you for sharing your insight on behavior management! I hope to see you at this week's link up all about assessment!

Hi Sara!! It's nice to hear that we agree on the clip chart! I found that it varied with how often I gave out the tags. There are some tags that all the kids would earn and then others that are just given when they reach an academic goal or display a proper behavior. My kids never begged for them (I like to think they know better!) but they would do a good job at reminding me to give them a tag if I forgot!
