June Currently

Linking up with Farley over at Oh’ Boy 4th Grade for another Currently!
I seriously cannot believe that it’s already June, but here we go!

Listening: Mr. and Mrs. Smith is one of my absolute favorite movies! I can recite most of the lines. A good friend of mine sent me a text to let me know it was on and now I’ll be hooked in for the next couple hours!

Loving: This is the last week of school and I pretty much have all the days set up with fun activities (camping day tomorrow!) There’s no need for my big binder and all the planning today and I’m loving it!

Thinking: I know I might be biased but I really think my husband is the best! We hung out with some teacher friends and their husbands last night – 5 teachers in one place and you tend to get sidetracked with teacher talk just a little bit… Then, this morning he did all the lawn work before the rain came and now he’s ironing! Woohoo!

Wanting: As excited as I am for summer, I will be sad to see this group of kids go. They challenged me, taught me, and made me laugh. I’m looking forward to this last week with them and having a little fun!

Needing: I have a real problem with finishing the laundry. This happens every Sunday. Do a couple loads. Leave them in there. Forget about them. Remember at 9 or 10:00 at night. And repeat the next Sunday!

Summer Bucket List: Last week we booked a hotel for a weekend on the beach at the end of the month. We’ll be celebrating our first anniversary! We’re only heading about an hour away from home, but it’ll be nice to get away and spend time together! I know I’ll be doing a lot of reading and relaxing, but my other big summer plan is to reorganize all my files. Started bringing everything home last week and I’m hoping I will actually hold myself to completing this big project!

What’s your plans for the summer? I’d love to hear them in the comments!

Happy first anniversary! That is so exciting!! And kudos to your hubby for going out with you and your teacher friends and for doing some housework this morning! Points for him! My boyfriend woke up early and cleaned our house and I got to sleep 'til 9! These men know how to treat some tired teachers!

Best wishes for your last week of school! Enjoy it! It'll go so quickly!

Woo! Sounds like we picked some winners!! My husband is the "neat freak" of our family so he definitely takes care of the cleaning around here. I'm lucky to have him ๐Ÿ™‚

Your hubby went out with you and your teacher friends AND did the yard work? You lucky duck! My fiance hasn't had the opportunity to go out with my teacher friends and their husbands… yet, but its coming. Lets hope he handles it as well as your husband. We are lucky enough right now to have someone else do our yard work, but Alex does help out with my endless baskets of laundry on Sundays. Now that I think about it… it's 9:20 in the evening and I still have a load in the dryer. You and I have Sundays and laundry in common. Sad part is that the last load stays in the dryer and comes out little by little throughout the week when we realize something we need is still in there. Maybe this summer I will have the energy to finish it all on Sunday! I enjoyed reading your post! Have fun on your vacay!

Thanks so much for commenting…you made me chuckle! I do the same thing with the last load!!! It's in the dryer right now and there's no way it's coming out! I need to get some sleep, not fold laundry!!

Sounds like you are going to have a great end to the year and a great summer!

I reorganized my files into binders last summer. It was a big job, but so worth it! I felt way more organized this year.

Good luck with the big project and getting the laundry done. Congrats on your 1 year anniversary!

Thanks Becky!! I keep telling myself it'll be worth it to reorganize all my files so we'll see what happens! (The laundry…not so much – it's still in the dryer!)

I'm prepping for a family seder (the Passover dinner) tonight, and I cannot wait to share this holiday and its importance and make family traditions with my daughter and husband!

The song playing is the background is Dayenu which means "it would have been enough" - it is a song of gratitude for each thing G-d did to help the Hebrews (Jews) and as they fled Egypt.

Something else we say at the end of seder: Next Year in Jerusalem! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ Chag Sameach, Happy Passover!
