Introducing The Primary Pack!

I am so excited to have the opportunity to work behind the scenes with the fabulous bloggers of The Primary Pack!  We are collaborating to bring you a rainbow of ideas!  Make sure you follow along to grab a bunch of colorful freebies, as well as enter our giveaway with $300 worth of prizes!

http://theprimarypack.blogspot.com/
Hey all! I’m Elyse blogging from A is for Apples. I am a Florida native who loves reading, the Florida Gators, and watching TV. I went to the University of Florida and graduated with my Master of Education in 2008. I worked for UF for a year on a multidisciplinary team, taught Kindergarten in Gainesville for 3 years, and now I’m in my 3rd year teaching in the Tampa area.

I have been married to my hubby, Shawn, for a year and a half. We have an amazing dog, Sadie, who is actually the true love of my life! Shawn is a life/business coach and consultant so he’s a big positive influence in my life. You’ll see me quote him at times which I refer to as my “Shawn-isms.”

My true love!!!

We’re so opposite!! He’s strictly a vanilla guy and I won’t touch it unless it’s at least 75% chocolate (Why waste the calories if it isn’t?!)
At least I know I’ll never have to share my dessert… (and I take my dessert very seriously!!!)
Teaching Kindergarten is something I always knew I’d do. I grew up helping my Mom in her preschool classrooms and always said I’d be a teacher, a Kindergarten teacher. When I moved to Tampa, I needed a job and had to start the year in 2nd grade. After winter break, I happily moved back to Kindergarten which is where I knew I belonged! I love creating activities for my Kinder kiddos and watching them as they learn and grow!

I just have to share my new favorite shirt!
(Except you probably do understand which is why I love blogging and sharing my teacher world with you all!)
To celebrate our new collaborative adventure, The Primary Pack is hosting a giveaway with tons of fabulous prizes!

Our favorite craft supply is definitely @kwikstixp Our favorite craft supply is definitely @kwikstixpaint!! Quick dry, no mess paints are perfect for me.

I let my daughter pick out a few wood crafts from Target a couple weeks ago and she's been working on this treasure chest.

She finally decided it's finished and now it's in her room with all sorts of random treasures inside!
One of my absolute favorite resources is this part One of my absolute favorite resources is this parts of a plant notebook activity! 🌱

I always brought in the food items for my students to build all of the plant parts and then taste each part. Then they would match up and label the parts of a plant and draw/write the food for each part.

Have you tried doing this with your students??

Hanukkah presents from last week for my girl's pre Hanukkah presents from last week for my girl's preschool teachers!! Really loving how my tags turned out! 🤩

Giving teachers presents as a teacher mom was such a new and interesting experience. I really wanted it to be perfect and for them to love it all - but I know it's truly the thought that counts and they'd appreciate that.

She ran into school swinging the gift bags so who knows what it all looked like once they opened it anyways 😅
It's almost December which means... a NEW READING It's almost December which means... a NEW READING LOG!!!

My students and parents seriously loved these! It holds the students accountable for reading, but in a fun way!

I built in different incentives for them to fill them out each month's log and it always worked. Quite possibly my favorite resource!

This link will be in my bio so you can see more or DM me for a direct link!
