Well hello there blog! I know, I know, it’s been awhile…
Back to school has been kicking my behind! I’m hoping we get into a routine soon so I can get back to my regularly scheduled activities of watching TV, creating products, and blogging!
I’m so thankful for the currently because it made me give my blog some lovin’ today! Thanks Farley for hosting, as always!!
Listening: I love all the X-Men movies! My husband and I actually had a marathon over the summer. I feel like I’ve seen First Class once a week this summer, but I’m not complaining!
Loving: Please do not laugh, but I was seriously using versions of PowerPoint and Word from when I was still in high school! Did you know that there’s a teacher deal to get the whole Microsoft package for $9.95?! Well, I didn’t…but once I found out I was all over that! I’m also working on upgrading to Adobe Pro – right now I’m doing the trial and I’ll buy it when that’s over. Makes my creating sooo much easier!
Thinking: This happens every time we have a long weekend, and it will continue to happen because I have thoughts of grandeur!! But that’s ok because I really didn’t have that much to do this weekend for school and I did get a lot done – but there’s just always more to do!
Wanting: My husband was out of town (out of the country is more like it!) the whole first week of school. He came back for 4 days and now he’s out of town again until tomorrow. I’m ready for him to be home!!
Needing: I told myself I’d put in the laundry before I started this post (didn’t happen). My grocery list is halfway done and once it’s finished I’ll procrastinate going to the store for another hour or two (least favorite chores!!!)
3 trips: I’m not a “big city” kind of girl but I’ve never been to Boston or Chicago so I’d just like to go once to see what it’s all about!
I’d love to be vacationing in Hawaii right about now! The pictures always look so beautiful!
Australia and New Zealand are on both my list and my husband’s so hopefully we’ll get over there one day!
Who is ready for spooky season??! 🦇 But really though, I don't do spooky, scary stuff. No thank you! Anyone else that way??I just loved using these graphic organizers during our bats unit. There are 8️⃣ lift-the-flap organizers to choose from with different options for the amount of writing lines. Perfect for readers response and checking comprehension! Not doing a bat unit? No problem! I have these for fall 🍂 and pumpkins 🎃 too. Comment or message me for those links. 》http://bit.ly/batstoryorganizers ... See MoreSee Less
It's FALL!!! 🍂🍎🌻🍃It was also 94° out today, but Florida is always late to the fall party... Are you starting to feel any fall weather?? Please tell me and make me jealous!I always hung up my fall write the room activity in my classroom this time of year, no matter what our weather was doing. This is a fun one for students to practice reading and writing seasonal vocabulary. There's also a recording page to practice sentence writing.bit.ly/fallwriteroom ... See MoreSee Less
• FALL • SIGHT • WORD • SENTENCES •Did you watch any football this weekend?? Tell me who you're rooting for in the comments! 💙🧡 I'm so happy it's football season again and I can watch the Gators play! 🐊My students loved finding these read-trace-write-glue sentences for morning work. These are a great way to practice reading sight words and writing sentences. This was always a fun one to use in the fall at the beginning of football season! 🏈 》http://bit.ly/fallsentences ... Whoa, we're halfway through September!!! 🍂These monthly reading logs are the perfect way to make reading at home fun! My students and families loved getting their new log each month in their folder. Then when they read a book, they colored part of the picture.I also added different writing and recording pages on the back so they could write the title, characters, setting and more. This a such a fun way to track reading and help hold students accountable for doing it!🔗 bit.ly/readinglogsallyear ...
