I recently found myself very, very busy with blogging, Facebook hops, blog hops, sales, linkys… you get it! I was starting to sweat a little bit with everything I had to remember. I’m really, really bad with using planners. I write things down and make it look all nice and cute and then I never look at it!!! I’m going to try and break that pattern, but just in case I don’t, I didn’t want to go out and spend money on a planner that could get wasted.
So here’s what I did … I made my own with the help of a couple products from some of my new blogging friends!
I started with an old spiral notebook. I have so many of these around my house from my college days…
I printed another amazing cover from Kelly over at Sweet Sounds of Kindergarten. (I now have 3 notebooks with these covers!) She has this amazing pack where you can add your blog button or name to a page and use it for TpT planning, blog planning, classroom planning, and more. You just have to print and attach to a notebook (or slip into a binder). I used double-sided tape to attach mine to the cover.

After making the outside of my notebook look pretty, it was time to make the inside look good! I printed off these calendars from my friend Alexis over at Laugh, Eat, Learn. When I printed the calendars, I used the “custom scale” option and printed at 90% so I could cut them down to fit. I also printed in black and white to save a little color ink (I have lots of printing to do for back to school!)

Once all my calendars were printed and cut, it was time to start taping them into the notebook. Since July is almost over I put it on the first page.
I knew I would need more space for the rest of the months so I put each month on the left side, skipped 2 pages, and then taped the next month. That way I’ll have room to write notes about blog posts, hops, linkys, etc.
And here it is! I already have the July and August calendars filled in with lots of fun blogging events coming up! Since it’s so cute and I made it all on my own I’m hoping I’ll be more inclined to use it!

I love it! I'm sure it will be just as efficient as those expensive planners. Made to suit your needs is ideal. I created some of my teacher binder pages using notebook paper sent thru the.printer to customize how I needed.
